Afterglow #8 - DIY not AI
Unless you live under a rock or in a pineapple deep under the
sea, you’ve probably heard of generative AI. The “hot new
industry” that is ruthlessly crushing the careers and
souls of artists. Afterglow 8 explores the issues with AI
while celebrating the DIY approach to content creation.
Let us embrace these analog tools and this physically
printed zine. Let us enjoy where we are in the physical
world and all that surrounds us. Full color full bleed inkjet printed cover on Neenah 90# cover stock. Interior is 48 pages printed on a Risograph printer using rice paper screens and soy based ink on sustainably sourced paper. Each copy is unique and one of a kind. This first edition is limited to 100 hand signed numbered copies. Content is by Sean Hamling except where otherwise noted.
