Life is a comedy if you let it be. Jean Racine says “Life is a comedy to those who think, a tragedy to those who feel.”. This is my favorite quote on the subject. Life really is in your interpretation. If you want to see the humor in things you will, and if you want it to be tragic, it will be. Everyone has a different interpretation of the world. It’s like we all are seeing the same thing but through other lenses. Maybe someone’s lens is ultra clear but doesn’t look in the right directions. Maybe your lens is well used but scratched and weathered. Maybe you have a fisheye lens, whatever that would be like.

What is the state of the world right now? Is it a comedy or a tragedy? How can we be sure? Is it just a mindset? Is it our surroundings? Is it how we feel? Is it all those things and more?

Afterglow #9 explores these issues with a balanced combination of art, comics, music reviews, fiction, and more!
